Special Days
- Special Days R Us!
Are you thinking of getting married?
Do you want to be baptised (christened)?
Have you lost someone you love through death?
We have a ministry team to support and inspire in marriage, baptism and funeral preparation. We have two beautiful
churches popular for marriages, adult or infant baptisms. If you’ve been bereaved and are looking for help or a
funeral please contact the vicar Email revdecia@yahoo.co.uk or Tel: 01275-373996.
We celebrate all the Christian festivals including Christmas, Easter, Harvest Festival and Remembrance day.
There’s a special focus on the young at Christmas with a nativity and a gift service the week before.
Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity for our parish to join the nation remembering those who have died
through war.

Baptism
A Baptism Course for all those who would like to know more about this very important Christian rite of passage.
At the Vicarage on two Wednesday evenings – 8th and 15th September at 7.30pm.
Adult Baptism? Although in more recent years, baptism has come to be associated with infants and children, in fact, in the Bible virtually all baptisms were of adults. Also many adults wishing to be confirmed are also baptised before the confirmation - which is surely a good reason to have a celebration if ever there was one!

Funerals
The best time to plan your funeral is when it seems like the least important thing to do!
...but where do you start?
We have available on request comprehensive resources for funeral planning which include guidelines in helping you decide between burial or cremation, also green funerals.
You can create part or all of your funeral service, choosing favourite hymns and other music.
Wills preparation and a list of wishes can prevent family misunderstandings.
