LECTIONARY
There have been several enquiries about accessing the Lectionary Bible readings for forthcoming services beyond the current services listed in The Link
You can click on Lectionary. If you see any error messages just OK them to access the full Lectionary.
Then CTRL+F and enter the date you're looking for, eg "4 JUL". You will then be able to see the Principal readings. We usually use the New Testament Epistle followed by the Gospel ie for 4 July it will be Galations 6: 7-16 and Luke 10: 1-11, 16-20.
Family Services usually only have the gospel reading.
It's always a good idea to check with a member of the ministry team that the readings have not been changed for that particular day.
CHILDREN'S BIBLE RESOURCES
There's a wealth of resource material for children to enjoy learning about the Bible.
Three resources for children are:
MESSY CHURCH! Chat with Decia if you want to know more about Messy Church
Barnabas for Children. Beautifully written and illustrated Bible stories, plus activity and sticker books for 5-11s.
Godly Play. This is an innovative, fun way to tell Bible stories to children drawing upon the Montessori method. Many parents are concerned to avoid any coercive approach in telling Bible stories to children. Godly Play allows children to explore their imagination through the story.
